Hi, I’m Milla – the founder, product designer, and everything-in-between behind this one-woman shop based in sunny California. From concept to creation, marketing to customer service, I personally handle every part of the process with care and creativity. Each print is thoughtfully designed to add a bold, playful touch to your space—whether it’s a dorm, apartment, or the perfect gift. Thank you for supporting small, handmade, and heart-led work. Each item is handmade with love, showcasing my hand-drawn illustrations, from the initial sketches to the final touches using the Adobe Creative Suite. My journey into design began over a decade ago during my university years, where I immersed myself in Product Design while juggling various design projects. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of collaborating with diverse companies worldwide, primarily focusing on the surf industry and footwear design.
As a participant in the Great Resignation following the pandemic, I took the leap and dedicate full time to Honey Island Studio.

Honey Island - The name
Inspired by the serene allure of the Honey Island nestled in the verdant landscapes of southern Brazil, "Honey Island" or "Ilha do Mel" in Portuguese is more than just a name to me; it's a poetic encapsulation of tranquility and creativity. With no cars and accessible only by boat, Honey Island embodies a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life—a sanctuary where one can reconnect with nature and immerse oneself in the unhurried rhythms of island living. By naming my studio after this idyllic haven, I evoke a sense of calm and inspiration, inviting others to share in the beauty and serenity that Honey Island represents to me.
